This page is going to guide you through the process of updating FusionReactor and all  instances from version 6.1.3 to version 7.0.x Those instructions will only apply if you have used a Standard ( Manual ) installation. For more information about the Manual Installation process follow the link, Manual Installation.

For this example I have manually installed a tomcat8 server with a FusionReactor 6.1.3 instance.

Getting Started

From the  screenshot above you can see that I have installed manually a FusionReactor 6.1.3 instance. In order to start the update process, follow the steps listed below.

Step 1

In order to start the process of updating FusionReactor, you need to make sure that the application server you are using is not running. This can be achieved by following the steps below.

  • Login to the Windows machine as an Administrator.
  • Access the Windows Services.
  • Locate the Apache Tomcat 8.0 service.

    • If the service is running, press the Stop button.

    • If the service is not running, then you can continue to Step 2.

Step 2

Download the latest fusionreactor.jar file. This can be found here: FusionReactor Download Page.

Step 3

Now that you have the latest fusionreactor.jar file, navigate to the following below:

  • {FusionReactor}\instance\{instance name}\

In the directory you will find a fusionreactor.jar file that it used by the previous FusionReactor version. Remove this file and add the latest fusionreactor.jar file.

Step 4

Restart the application server. This can be done by the following steps.

  • Login to the Windows machine as an Administrator.
  • Access the Windows Services.
  • Locate the Apache Tomcat 8.0 service.

  • Press the Start button.

When you have completed this step, access FusionReactor via your Browser and you will be able to see that the version of FusionReactor is now up to date.
