Introducing FusionReactor 7
FusionReactor is a low overhead Java Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tool which gives developers total insight into exactly how code executes and performs at production run-time. Designed for production environments and supporting a range of J2EE servers including WildFly, JBoss, Tomcat, Jetty, and Glassfish, as well as Java-based CFML servers including Adobe ColdFusion, Lucee, and Railo.
FusionReactor goes beyond traditional APM tools by :
- Increasing application RESILIENCE with ‘Crash Protection’
- Shortening the time needed to IDENTIFY DEFECTS and PERFORMANCE ISSUES with our integrated, low overhead, production safe - ‘Error Detection tools’ – Debugger, Code Profiler and Memory Profiler
FusionReactor gives you all the information to help you identify issues and performance bottlenecks as fast as possible – resulting in less downtime, more stability, faster applications and happier customers!

Downloading and Installing FusionReactor
We are assuming you've downloaded and installed FusionReactor already; if not, go ahead and install it now. The installation process is easy – in almost every case the installer package will take care of all the details. Read the FusionReactor Installation Guide for details.
For those of you who want full control over the install, or who are preparing VM templates: we have a manual install guide which will get the FusionReactor agent installed into your Java environment.
If you've got FusionReactor installed already, you can typically access it in one of two different ways:
1) Fusion Reactor's Internal Web Server
You can call FusionReactor directly from a web browser with a URL like this:
You must use the correct IP address and port for the FusionReactor instance you are trying to access. The port and address on which FusionReactor listens are configurable.
2) Your External Web Server
You can often access FusionReactor from your external web server with a URL like this:
Notice that we have used an extension (.
jsp in this case) that the external web server maps to the monitored application engine. This is so that the request is passed to FusionReactor which runs inside the application engine. Access to FusionReactor from the external web server can be configured on or off.
After installing and starting your JEE server, you'll need to enter your license key and activate it. This is usually straightforward, however, if you're not connected to the Internet to automatically activate your license, then click here to find out how to perform a manual activation.
There are many different scenarios in which FusionReactor is used, each with its own conditions, and each requiring a different configuration. The following are links to sample configurations for short term (immediate) troubleshooting and longer-term production monitoring.
